17/12 French court yesterday ordered the Director General to convene the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde to clarify her role in the payment of 400 million euros (about 438 million USD) France Bernard Tapie merchant .

Total prosecutors France confirmed cases occurred more than 20 years ago will be the judges of the Court of Justice in charge of France. After the court ruled today or 21/12 to Ms Lagarde will have five days to appeal.

Ms Lagarde is accused of dereliction of duty compensation Bernard Tapie traders while she held the position of finance minister of France. If prosecuted in France, Ms. Lagarde at risk received 1 year imprisonment sentence and must leave office as IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss Kahn's predecessor. However, Ms Lagarde's lawyer said she will appeal to the same. IMF spokesman Gerry Rice said the IMF continues to believe in her capacity Lagarde in implementing its mandate.

Mr Tapie - who is said to have a romantic relationship with Ms Lagarde - who sued the French government and receive compensation of up to 438 million USD. He had supported former French President Nicolas Sarkozy in the 2007 election.

Previously, Tapie is a major shareholder of Adidas but the company was sold again in 1993 to become a cabinet minister in France. He accused Credit Lyonnais bank had flaws in handling the deal with state-owned banks argue this was deliberately undervalued the value of Adidas.

In 2007, Ms. Lagarde has decided to resort to a court of arbitration to resolve the long-running dispute. The tribunal finally decided in his favor and he was awarded Tapie 438 million compensation.

However, earlier this month, a French court ruled that Mr Tapie not enjoy such compensation, and to be repaid with interest all comes.
